Looney's Success

The County Stroke play was played on Tuesday on the fabulous Castleisland Course, with over 25 juveniles taking part. Scoring on the day was exceptional by all the winners, which can only lead to good things for the fastly approaching Munster stroke play.
In the 10-13 Grade,  young Conor McCarthy entered the winner circle for the first time with a superb score of -8
In the u-16 grade, Jason o Brien Claimed the crystal with a cool 5 shots to spare over his nearest competitor.
The main competition was a very close-run affair with only 1 shot separating 3 competitors.Kieran looney edged out both kieran Murphy and Kieran O'Keeffe with a birdie on the 18th to claim the spoils of his first ever county title. Kieran O'Keeffe finished 2nd, Beating Kieran Murphy on a count back.
