February:

Winter League: Our two month competition came to a close last Sunday morning as despite not winning any of the two rounds, the team of Damien Fleming, John Clifton & St John Kelliher did enough to win the League with a total of 86 points. They finished with a five point lead over the second placed team of Kieran Looney, Hugh O’Sullivan and Jason O’Brien on 81 points while victory in the first competition on Sunday gave the team of Timmy Looney, Robbie O’Brien Snr & Jason O’Brien third overall on 80 points. The team of Kieran Buckley, Colm O’Dowd & Mary Murphy who had led the competition for the most part and were in the joint lead heading into last Sunday had to make do with fourth overall in the final standings. The second round winners on Sunday were the team of Ger O’Connor, Donie O’Dowd and Daniel O’Donoghue as Jason O’Connor deputised well once more to restore some pride for the team at the end of the competition.
